Inaugural CDGA Four-Ball Match Play Tournament

Purpose: Provide Chattanooga area with four-ball match play competition, and promote competition among CDGA member clubs
Format: 32 team four-ball match play
When: Friday, August 24 -  Sunday, August 26
Where: Friday  - Rounds of 32/16  - Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Saturday - Quarterfinals  - Chattanooga Golf and Country Club
Sunday - Semifinals/Finals - The Honors Course
Entry Fee: $80 per player 
(entry fee includes all cart fees after first round, range balls, lunch on Friday and Sunday for participants and prizes)
Entry Deadline: Wednesday, August 1, 6:00 p.m.
Eligibility: Entry is open to male amateur golfers who have an USGA/Ghin handicap established at a CDGA member club. For private clubs, player must a member in good standing. Both team members must be from same CDGA member club.
Prizes: Medals for semifinalist team members, trophies for champion and runner-up team members, traveling trophy to be displayed at CDGA member club represented by champion.
Priority List for Accepting Entries:
1. 2000 Brainerd Invitational Champion
2. 2000 Chattanooga TPC Champion and Runner-up
3. 2001 Signal Mountain Invitational Champion
4. 2001 Red Bud Invitational Champion
5. 1992 – 2001 Chattanooga Men’s Metro Champions
6. All players who post 54 total in 2001 Men’s Metro (priority according to order of finish)
7. Lowest combined team handicap index for team representing each CDGA member club not represented above

(priority will be given if either team member qualifies for priority):


Should the number of teams entered with priority exceed 32, Priority #6 will be reduced as needed.

Should the number of teams entered with priority be less than 32, the remainder of the field will be completed according to combined team handicap index.

Note: Black Creek Club has agreed to host semi-finals and finals in 2002, and Council Fire Golf Club has agreed to host semi-finals and finals in 2003.
