Four Ball Match Play Tournament
ELIGIBILITY:
Applications are open to male amateur golfers who meet the following
eligibility requirements:
FOUR BALL TOURNAMENT:
Players must meet the USGA definition of amateur golfer and possess a USGA/GHIN
handicap for a CDGA member club. Persons applying for reinstatement to amateur
status and non-amateurs are not eligible. Partners must be from the same CDGA
member club.
All entry applications will
be reviewed by the CDGA to verify that the entrants have an official USGA/GHIN
handicap index.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
All entrants must file an application by the entry deadline - Wednesday, July
Late or incomplete applications are not accepted. Time limit
for entries means receipt by the CDGA – not postmarked. The CDGA is not
responsible for misdirected mail.
ENTRY FEES:
$45 per player (cart fees paid separately each match)

Honors Course
RULES OF GOLF:
Play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Questions and disputes shall
be settled by the Committee in charge of the competition, whose decision is
final.
CONDUCT CODE:
Penalties for breach of sportsmanship code (to include, but not limited to
property damage, abusive language, club throwing, excessive drinking or
gambling) may include censure, suspension or revocation of playing privileges. USGA Decisions on the Rules of Golf (US/33-8/101).
CDGA DRESS CODE:
Contestants must wear appropriate attire. Gym shorts,
cut offs, shirts without collars, and denim shorts or pants are not acceptable.
Shorts must be
REFUNDS: No refund
will be issued after the deadline except for illness/injury.
FOOTWEAR: Traditional
type spikes, regardless of composition, are prohibited at the Tournament.
Penalty for breach of this condition of play is disqualification.
PRIZES: Trophies for
champion and runner-up team members, Michael
C. Jenkins traveling trophy to be displayed at CDGA member club represented
by the champions.
1st and 2nd ROUND MATCHES: First and second round matches will be scheduled by
opponents at a mutually agreed upon time.
Location will be
chosen from clubs listed to left by top seeded team. Choosing team may not select the club it
represents.
First round matches
must be completed by end of day Thursday, August 12.
Second round matches
must be completed by end of day Thursday, August 26.

at any time (including during the Tournament) by the CDGA. The reason for
rejection may include unbecoming conduct.

risk of delay or error in transmission lies solely with us and that the CDGA
